[It's been a little while what with things happening since Jon had a conversation with Peter about his tattoos, but he hasn't forgotten. With Elias gone again, now seems as good a time as any to... do something about them.]

[ On Christmas morning, Harley will wake up to find a stocking has hung itself at the end of her bed. Inside is a variety of festive treats - pralines, chocolates, small pastries and truffles. On the top is a jewellery box, inside of which is a choker with black and red studded jewels all around.
When depressed, each jewel has a different effect; one gives her a temporary, random hair colour, one gives her a set of cheerful, moving tattoos that dance over her skin. Another makes her hair grow right to her ankles, and another paints her nails with random, skull-inspired art. The fifth gives her a pair of tiny cat ears, and the last one turns whatever she's wearing into sexy, Santa-themed lingerie.
There's a tag dangling from the top of the stocking that just says: ]

Harley has received a small gift box! When she opens it, she finds a small card that reads "To the Woman Who Is Her Own Savior, From C + [ an small, inky pawprint ], P.S. Congratulations!". Under the card is cushioned a 100% authentically stolen sterling silver chain adorned with the following charms (also stolen):
- a silver rat
- a glitzy red star
- a small bullet
- a boomerang
- a shark tooth
- a rabbit linked to an engraved speech bubble
- three linked "dots"
- the letter X linked to bonus! a red dress

[Tate left his gift at Harley's office, if only because he wasn't entirely sure how to hand it off to her without looking like the simp he is. It's a red box with silver snowflakes, inside there are a few wrapped compartments that include: decorated cookies, a 'fun' flask, choker, jacket and body suit. You think that'd be all but after some second guessing, he threw in a pair of fishnet tights, some mini alcohol bottles he swiped from a hotel and a note from himself, wishing her happy holidays, a belated congrats and some appreciative words he would've stammered out if left to say them aloud:

[ It's been a tough few days, made worse coming after a run of what's been mostly the kind of peaceful happiness that they don't get so often, the fun and frolics of the holiday season brought crashing down by Boomer's sudden disappearance. To Hellboy it seems like life in Duplicity is always going to be like that -- things being good, then all of a sudden something goes wrong, city-mandated or not, and he can't help being reminded that they're in a place where they don't always get to decide what happens. But then again, it wasn't like life before the city was ever really predictable either.
Somehow he's gotten into the habit of not sleeping so much lately. It's not like he's any less tired or busy than he usually is, but he keeps finding himself starting awake, convinced he's going to roll over and find Harley's space in the bed gone cold. He knows he's not the only one worrying about that -- since losing Boomer, he's come back to the warehouse to find Harley surrounded by boomerangs on the bed, makeup smudged So as often than not he ends up lying awake, staring up at the ceiling or watching Harley sleep, and chasing the same thoughts around and around his head.
It's been one of his better nights and he doesn't really remember falling asleep, only that at some point he ends up waking up slowly, comfortable and warm, tangled up with Harley pulled close in the shelter of his body. [ the tattoo shop in question does sort of look like cupid threw up all over it already β in part because harley's a little weak for the holiday as it is, but she's also never going to say no to the idea of decorating the place in more red and pink, which are two of her absolute most favorite colors. she's actually in the process of putting up some streamers, having hopped up on a smaller ladder to reach the ceiling since hellboy is currently nowhere in sight for her to use his shoulders. (she has her own sneaking suspicion that he's planning on surprising her later, so she can pretend to be the patient girl she isn't for now.)
